“Beyond our menu, we’ve created an authentic experience where every detail reflects Kazakh heritage.” - Indeed they have. What a delightful place. Welcoming, unique, delicious. My rice porridge was heavenly, the pastries yummy. Amazing coffee and on top of that super cute presentations. Bravo Tary!

If you’re looking for a different kind of restaurant, especially if it’s for breakfast, then this is the place. I’ve never tried Kazakh food before, and I was impressed. I loved the light, yet filling cottage cheese-like pancakes. The staff was very friendly and was great at making suggestions. The interior is minimalistic and calming, with an excellent contrast with their beautiful carpets.

Great food but very small portions. Amazing coffee and a beautiful space. They crank up the AC quite a lot so bring a sweater in the summer. We tried 5 different dishes and enjoyed all of them. Would recommend at least 2 dishes per person given the size.

Great place in Chicago to try authentic Kazakh cuisine! This upscale coffee shop has great food options and unique drinks to try. The tary tea is super flavorful and with the added tary (millet), it gives a burnt, nutty flavor. I got the kuurdak in a bread bowl and it was amazing. Loved the fact that there was even a dedicated Kazakh restaurant in Chicago in the first place, very hard to find them anywhere in the country. With my wife being Kazakh, she loved this place and enjoyed seeing a restaurant from her country in the USA. ???????? ????????

ask for a light honey cappuccino. that’s all u need, i promise your life will be complete. the cafe is clean and never overstimulating with beautiful traditional furniture pieces, the staff is incredibly kind and sweet, and they’re actually kazakhstanian which i love!! my peach salad was pretty small for what i payed. it’s more of a half salad. it’s refreshing, delicious and the portion was perfect for me, but if you get it be prepared to pay quite a bit for a pretty small portion.

I had a lovely visit at Tary Coffee House. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The breakfast was just the right amount—not too heavy, just enough to satisfy me without feeling bloated. The food was fresh and tasty, pairing well with their excellent coffee.

We visited this place as a family, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The ambiance was absolutely beautiful — warm, elegant, and welcoming. The quality of the meat was outstanding, with every bite full of flavor and perfectly cooked. What truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. They treated us like family and made us feel completely at home from the moment we walked in. If you’re ever passing through on your way to Chicago, this is an absolute must-visit. Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere, and hospitality that leaves a lasting impression!
